Real-time data
IoT technology monitors key water-quality metrics in real time, 24 hours a day. Units are solar and battery powered and transmit via remote telemetry — built for remote locations.

Monitoring & optimisation
Measures, monitors and uploads real-time water quality data remotely 24 hours a day.
SciDev has developed HydraIQ™, a water quality monitoring system to measure the quality of natural water bodies. The system automatically measures and monitors water quality remotely, sending real-time data to a secure cloud platform for analysis and reporting.
Hydra-IQ automatically measures and monitors the quality of natural water bodies and site water, sending real-time data to a secure cloud platform for analysis and reporting. The system can track turbidity, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, TDS, TSS, ORP, algae, temperature, alkalinity, ammonium, chloride, sodium, calcium, bromide, chlorophyll-a, nitrate, oil and other parameters as required.
Units use IoT technology to monitor key metrics in real time, 24 hours a day, and are powered by solar and battery with remote telemetry transmission — built for sites where a wired connection isn't practical. Each deployment is customisable: sites identify the parameters to monitor, the number of units to deploy and the reporting frequency required, in line with regulatory guidelines and client specifications.
A self-cleaning function reduces the number of maintenance visits required to remote locations, supporting safer, more efficient and more sustainable operations. One Western Australian mine site client said: "Their online connectivity projects and Telstra system implementation have significantly improved efficiency, freeing up resources and enhancing reliability. I highly recommend their expertise and technology."
Key benefits
IoT technology monitors key water-quality metrics in real time, 24 hours a day. Units are solar and battery powered and transmit via remote telemetry — built for remote locations.
Designed to measure water quality in accordance with regulatory guidelines and client specifications — each site identifies the parameters to monitor, the number of units and the reporting frequency required.
A self-cleaning function means fewer maintenance visits to remote locations on site, supporting safer, more efficient and more sustainable operations.
Data is sent to a secure cloud platform for analysis and reporting, giving site teams a live view of water quality rather than periodic manual sampling.
